What is Geosurf?

Geosurf is one of the many proxy providers out there.

To learn whether it’s a good one, we’ve tried its residential proxies that have over 2 million IPs.

How did they score?

Well, solid.

Their residential IPs come from real users. Thus, they are genuine and suitable for any purpose you may need.

For example: Let’s say that you want to stay ahead of your competition as a digital marketer.

Using residential IPs to perform a range of investigative tasks can come in handy, including:

  • Ad verification
  • your link building strategy
  • price research and comparison,
  • or harvesting data around the world.

Next, you can use these proxies for fare aggregation and find the absolute cheapest flights.

Also, you’ll want to use residential proxies to avoid any limitations and geo-restrictions.

This includes the cases when you want to automate your social media, whether it is Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or another one.

Rotating residential proxies (we are going to discuss this feature in the next section) protect you if you are using bots and similar tools.

On the other hand, their sticky sessions are useful if you are employing a sneaker bot and need the same IP for the entire checkout process.

Key Geosurf Features

  • 2M+ residential IPs

Geosurf’s proxy pool is large. It entails around 2 million residential IPs from over 130 countries and 1,700 cities.

What’s more, when you purchase one of their plans, you automatically get access to the complete pool of IPs without any restrictions.

  • Sticky IPs

In sticky sessions, the IP does not change for a set timeframe (e.g., 10 or 30 minutes).

Sticky IPs can result in a higher success if you are coping limited sneakers, for instance. They will minimize the data collection time.

  • Rotating IPs

If you opt for rotating Geosurf’s IPs, you’ll get a new IP from their pool every time you make a new request.

This translates to a different IP each time you reload a page or open another one.

Using the rotating IPs can be beneficial when you are scraping data and need to ensure that the requests sent to a particular server come from a range of IP addresses.

How Much Does Geosurf Cost?

Geosurf offers three basic pricing plans. See them below:

There’s also a “Special” tariff plan that you can set up if you contact them directly, and it’s priced at a couple of thousands of dollars.

We weren’t too keen on the idea of spending more than two thousand dollars on Geosurf’s proxies, so we settled for the “Professional” one billed at $900 and tried it out for two months.

Was it worth it? Unfortunately, no.

Firstly, the monthly commitment is just too much, even more so if you go for the $2,000 plan.

And then, the price of a GB of data is also too high! It starts at $12 per GB. There are some proxy providers that offer the same, just much cheaper.

For instance, take a look at this:

Proxyland is 4 times cheaper, and:

  • You are paying $2.9 per 1GB (as opposed to $12 with Geosurf!)
  • You can pay as you go, without the outrageous monthly commitments
  • Same features
  • Excellent residential proxies
  • 99.9% uptime
  • Large proxy pool, over 100 countries
  • Data monitoring
  • Easy-to-use dashboard
  • Bulk discounts with custom packages
  • Reliable CS

Is Geosurf Safe, Legit Or a Scam?

Rest assured that Geosurf is safe. There are no issues with their website security and payment gateways.

Also, the company is legit. Even though there’s no live chat customer support, it’s clear who is behind the company, and we cannot tie them to a scam or anything like that.

Should You Try Geosurf or Not?

To recap, here are some facts that might help you reach the final decision.

Geosurf is for you if:

  • You have dedicated a huge portion of your budget to proxies
  • You can spend over $2,000 monthly for this purpose
  • You are a large corporation

Geosurf is not for you if:

  • You want to go down the affordable path
  • You are a solopreneur or a medium-sized company
  • Your budget is limited
  • You prefer to pay as you go without monthly commitments
  • You are cautious about spending your money
  • Find their pricing plans too expensive (which they are, really)

More affordable alternative: Proxyland

  • No need to commit to huge monthly sums
  • The price per GB is $2.9
  • 4 times cheaper
  • Great for individuals and companies of all sizes
  • Reliable proxies
  • Fast response
  • Customizable plans
Proxyland’s price

Geosurf is just not that provider we would recommend to everyone.

Corporate companies might like it, but it’s just too expensive for solopreneurs and smaller businesses.

Luckily, there are plenty of cheaper, quality residential proxy providers out there. They can be excellent alternatives for Geosurf.

Simply put: If you want premium features without breaking the bank, Proxyland is it.
